Social Media Manager & Content Strategist
Remote | Part-Time to Full-Time | Flexible hours
The Role
We are seeking a Social Media Manager + Content Strategist with skills in basic graphic design and copywriting to join our small but dynamic team. This role blends creativity with strategy, ensuring our content aligns with business goals, nurtures our global community, and communicates our essence.
You will manage day-to-day social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Newsletters via Flodesk), develop and execute content strategies, and collaborate with our team on launches for retreats, online courses and events.
Responsibilities

Develop content angles, calendars, and consumer journey–aligned strategies that meet business goals (short + long term).
Plan and propose content for launches of retreats, online classes, and events.
Build strategies for Instagram, YouTube, and Flodesk newsletters, incorporating brand content pillars, growth and engagement goals.

Manage posting schedule and cadence across IG, YouTube and newsletters.
Create and propose basic copy for IG + YouTube captions, carousel posts, and newsletters.
Reply to IG DMs, comments, and YT comments/engagement, and moderate/delete inappropriate comments. Block inappropriate users.

Create basic graphic designs using templates while adhering to brand guidelines (fonts, colors, standards).
Design YouTube cover photos/thumbnails, IG carousel posts, and Flodesk newsletter assets.

Collaborate with our videographer/editor (they handle uploads + reels).
Propose posting schedule, captions, thumbnail designs, and strategies for snack/bite/meal-length content to grow subscribers and engagement.

Develop content strategy, cadence, and copy for newsletters.
Craft subject lines, headlines, and body copy geared at boosting open rates + click-through rates.

Provide monthly + quarterly reports for IG, YT, and Flodesk (growth, engagement, conversions, performance insights).

Work closely with the Founder, Head of Retreats, Head of Workshops, and Business Strategy Lead to align content with organizational goals.
Attend weekly online team meetings.
Travel occasionally for retreats/team gatherings (negotiable)
Desired Skills & Experience
At least 3+ years experience in social media management + content strategy.
Portfolio + case studies with proven metrics and growth results.
Proficiency in IG, YT, and Flodesk (or similar newsletter platforms).
Strong copywriting and strategic storytelling abilities.
Basic design skills using templates in Canva or similar, with strong attention to branding.
Familiarity with link-in-bio tools, ManyChat (or similar automation tools), analytics platforms.
Flexible, adaptable, comfortable in a small team/startup-like environment.
Proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities and think outside the box.
Bonus (but not a requirement): ability to edit/design IG reels.
